What is Community Pop Ups?

“You have to help the people who are here for their community. That’s the only way small town America survives.” - Erin Napier, Home Town

We’re Blake & Lisa, your local pop-up market enthusiasts and owners of Community Pop Ups NC! Allow us to introduce ourselves!

We’re local to the Wendell/Zebulon area and while Blake has been a Tar Heel all his life, Lisa is a New England transplant - but has been here since 2008! We have a full house with 2 kids, 2 cats and one dog.

So why did we get into events? For us it was a natural progression! Lisa works in travel, meetings and events professionally, and Blake grew up with a family that works in the event profession! Together, we’re on a mission to spotlight NC’s small towns and support local businesses.

Having been vendors ourselves - we had a small bakery that, due to COVID, we chose to close - we know what works and what doesn’t. We know that our vendors are relying on us to help get the word out. Our vendors pour their hearts into their creations, and we’re here to help amplify their voices. We see their passion because we have that same passion ourselves.

Join us as we bring the magic of pop-up markets to our neighborhoods! Let’s celebrate local craftsmanship and the unique charm that North Carolina has to offer.

1 / Do I need a ticket to attend?

All of our events will state whether a ticket is needed or not. We do our best to make all events free.

2 / Are your events pet-friendly?

We strive to make all of our events dog-friendly. However, we always abide by the rules of the venue.

3 / What will I find at your events?

Something for everyone! We do our best to attract as many different types of vendors and artists as possible.

4 / How do I become a vendor?

We welcome small businesses who make original, high-quality products. Please apply to become a vendor here. We are not accepting any MLMs or large retailers.

5 / How much is the vendor fee?

The fee to become a vendor is $95 for both 10x10 spaces and food trucks. Following the approval of a vendor application, the vendor will receive an email requesting confirmation that they are still able to attend (we know things happen!). Following confirmation, the vendor will then be sent an invoice for the total vendor fee via PayPal.

6 / What does a vendor need to bring to an event?

Vendors will need to bring their own 10x10 pop up tent and tent weights as well as any tables, chairs, displays or signage they may need.
